Timing has always been a integral part of Claire and Tom’s relationship. They met in high school and spent a lot of time early on essentially taking turns liking one another. She liked him at first, then he liked her, but they weren’t interested in one another at the same time until toward the end of Tom’s senior year. For some people, this could have seemed like an imperfect time to start a new relationship - shortly before Tom was going to be many miles away at college. But for Claire and Tom, it’s exactly how it was meant to be. Because the time they each spent waiting for the other strengthened their resolve to stay together in spite of the physical distance between them. They spent the next four years traveling to see each other frequently, Facetiming so they could virtually do homework together, and falling very much in love in the process.

As their friends and siblings offered up in speeches during the wedding it became clear that Claire and Tom’s commitment and love for one another became a model of the kind of relationship they would aspire to have in their own lives, so the celebration for this couple when they officially became husband and wife was nothing short of spectacular.

And on their wedding day, once again timing would work in their favor. Heavy rains were in the forecast for the entire day putting a damper on what was supposed to be a wedding incorporating a lot of the outdoors. But the skies did clear for Claire and Tom, long enough for them to walk hand in hand on the winding roads of Blue Hill Farm, proving that for these two, things work out in just the right time and just the right way. And as they start this next journey of their lives together, they’ll do so as a couple that have already stood the test of time and distance and never wavered in their dedication to one another.
