Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Pocantico Hills, NY: Julie & Paul's Wedding

Paul had flown all the way across the country to be there that night. From New York to Los Angeles to celebrate his son’s twenty-first birthday. Little did he know when he set off for the party that evening, Paul would end up receiving a gift of sorts himself that night.

That gift had a name. It was Julie. She happened to be invited along to that same party that evening. She and Paul had never met before that night but once they started talking they realized that in one another they sensed something different. Julie noticed how comfortable she felt while talking to Paul, he saw how easy and enjoyable it was for him to make her laugh. In the time that followed that evening, they developed a bond strong enough to convince Julie to leave the sunshine of Los Angeles to be with Paul in New York.

They were married this fall, nearly 3,000 miles from where they first met, with an emotional outdoor ceremony at Blue Hill at Stone Barns. At the end of the ceremony (and again as they were introduced into the reception) Paul held Julie’s hand and raised his own arm high in the air - a small gesture of the undeniably joy he was feeling to have just married the woman of his dreams.
